New VAM Variety
Die 11 holds more interest than many others because of the multiple features. On die 11 both 1s and the first 8 are doubled in the date.
The left 1 is strongly doubled below the upper crossbar. The right 1 is faintly double below the upper crossbar. The first 8 has the familiar short die chip at top left inside of upper loop at about 11 o'clock.
The profile is slightly doubled from the hair down to the chin, at the top of Phrygian cap, and at the bottom edge of the hair.
The right stars are very slightly doubled to quadrupled .

Die Crack Characteristics
Obverse Die 11 is a component of VAM 19 and is known primarily for doubling in the date and Liberty's profile. While not the most common we do have five examples, all mint state coins.
Other than the familiar die crack, spike, in the upper loop of the first 8 there are no die cracks in any of the coins.
