VAM:  53 - Doubled 18, Pitted Ear

Comments:  This coin has very minor toning and the color would indicate it is early first cycle with no color except a very light tan.  It is so light and lacks any spectrum to study, so we have not included it in the toned coins group.

VAM 53 is one of our discoveries and has proven to be the most common VAM identified to date.  When acquired this was our seventy-sixth example, so very common.

We would probably rate this a little higher in grade at MS 63 just because the fields appear to us to be cleaner than an MS62, but that is splitting hairs at this grade.
