Comments: This is almost a monochromatic coin, but with some light variations that help give away the toning cycle. This does not appear to us to be a bag toned coin.
Under the color there is a solid Mint State 63 coin or better with few significant bag marks. The clash at the neck is clearly visible, and the toning actually makes the letter transfer easier to identify.
Speculative History
While this could be a bag toned coin, it seems unlikely to us because both sides show signs of color and the near monochromatic nature of the color would indicate an even exposure to a reagent.
A second option is that this was exposed and then rolled. There is a slight patchwork of color triangles on the obverse that might indicate flaps on the end of a coin roll. But the end roll coin is most often cleaner on the reverse in our experience unless the storage location was really unusual.
Stages and Colors
Blues and purples are difficult for us to distinguish, but we would place these in the second cycle with dominant blues and magenta-blue hues. The reverse seems to either be entering the same stage or just lighter in color.
