Comments:  This is a toned coin and so has been included in the toned coin section of the web site.  But it by no means offers much study material and does not rise to anything like a monster toned coin.

The VAM 5 markers are easily read because of the polished out hair at the base of the neck, even without looking at the other markers with magnification.

This is a coin that is easy to speculate on and hard to completely decipher.  The toning is confined to the rim and probably indicates that the coin was in a holder or card of some type where the rim was in constant contact with a chemical.

The deep blue and magenta on the reverse are also present on the obverse, just more pronounced.  These colors would place the toning in the fourth cycle, so well along in progression.
