Comments: While we like this coin because of the opalescence, we would place this coin closer to an MS 63, or certainly no more than a very low end MS 64. The dark streak across the cheek really detracts from the coin's appearance.
Speculative History
We don't think this is a bag toned coin because the overall color that seems to be uniform on both sides would be hard to produce in a coin bag. So the history of this toning will probably remain a mystery.
Stages and Colors
We did not do enlargements of both sides of this coin because the colors are essentially the same on both sides.
The colors are a mixture of orange, blue, and probably green. But the reflectivity of the surface makes all colors difficult to determine. The coin is essentially a monochromatic one with just a little variation sprinkled in toward the rims.
