Comments:  The cheek and major portions of the obverse are free of major dings and dents.  The fields retain a lot of luster and this is just a nice coin for the grade.

 

The VAM 71 is a recent discovery in 2016 and so far we have located four examples of it in four different grades.  So the coins made it from the Mint in some quantity.  The doubling on the reverse is not pronounced on our examples, but the date doubling on the obverse is easier to spot.
