ANA Grading Standard
A coin graded MS-63 has mint luster that may be slightly impaired.
Numerous small contact marks and a few scattered heavy marks may be seen.
Small hairlines maybe visible without magnification. Several detracting scuff marks or defects may be present throughout the design or in the fields.
The general quality is about average, but overall the coin is rather attractive.
ANA MS 63 Morgan Grading
Obverse: There are distracting contact marks on the cheek and fields. Finer details on the highest point are unmistakable. Mint luster is full and complete.
Reverse: Finer details in the breast feathers are evident. Major contact marks distract from the overall appearance of the coin.
PCGS MS 63 Grading
Marks and abrasions that are moderate in number and/or size. Strike may not be full, luster may be somewhat dull, and/or eye appeal may be slightly negative.
PCGS MS 63+ Grading
Average number of marks/hairlines, strike will be close to average. Good eye appeal for grade.
