Comments:  Perhaps a little better when seen in person, this is probably toward the lower end of an MS63.  The coin has enough distracting marks on the obverse that anything higher would not be appropriate.  VAM 17 is also a relatively common VAM and we have many examples to go with this one for grade identification.
