Comments:  At the time of purchase this was our only AU 58 VAM 1D.  Like many AU coins this one is on the edge of being an MS 60, but it has some of the markings of light circulation so it is what it is!  The brown spots on the obverse are likely left over from the planchet preparation and not obtained after coin production on in circulation.

 

On this coin the deterioration of the eye socket is prominent and certainly not other marker would be needed to spot this one.
