Comments:  This coin is solid for the grade and we think has the right quantity of bag marks and other nicks and dings to fit the description of an MS 62.  There is a little bit of color toward the rim but it is early toning with no spectrum and we did not include it in the toned section.  A nice coin with good reflectivity in the fields, but no more.

VAM 4 has not proven to be that common, but we do have representative examples in five different grades.  But this can be a somewhat confusing VAM to identify.  The title is clear, but the entire date can be doubled.  It can also be clashed, strongly clashed, but without letter transfer.  The clash can be visible on both the obverse and reverse.

So when all else fails, there is a die scratch outside the LIBERTY headband and unique scratches in the ear that are conclusive.
