Comments:  This coin is a good illustration of how the accumulation of small nicks can be just as bad as a single or a few major scratches.  This one has a plethora of nicks and dings that when added together it just spells lower MS grade.  The reverse is better than the obverse, but nothing can overcome the sum of issues.

 

On the VAM 10 the single most distinguishing item is the tripling of the date.  Other markers include overpolishing of the left wreath and a very slight doubling of the chin.
