Comments:  Overall the toning on this coin is a negative as it serves to obscure details, not enhance eye appeal.  It gives the coin a dirty look on both the obverse and reverse.  The doubling of the two ones is subtle, as it should be for a VAM 22.

The die chip in the upper loop of the first 8 is not prominent, but present.  There are three or four long, but small, gouges in front of the eye going from two o'clock to 8 o'clock.  There appear to be no die cracks in this example.

On the reverse the mint mark is slightly left of center and tilted left.  There is over polishing of the leaves in the second, third, and fourth left clusters.  On the eagle's right wing there is some over polishing of the feathers in the outside row.  The reverse also appears to be free of die cracks.
