Comments:  Often coins look a little better than the grade and you might want to argue for the improvement, but this coin is an exception because of the obverse scarring.  The bag marks on the face completely ruin the eye appeal, and thus the grade is probably right.

 

The reverse is better with clear fields and if the obverse were this clear this might even be an MS64 or MS65 coin.

 

The coin is lightly clashed, which only shows itself on the reverse at the top of the eagle's right wing and to the outside of the eagle's left wing.
