Comments:  Whether you collect the 1881-O series, or one of the top listed coins, it is difficult not to like the VAM 1D - Flaky Eye.  This VAM readily draws rave reviews.  We are discovering that it also has a lot of appeal because of the progressive deterioration of the eye socket at different grades.

 

This coin is a solid XF 45 and no more.  It is worn, but with plenty of remaining detail.  It also looks dirty like many coins at this grade.  But a solid example of this VAM.
