Comments:  This is one of those coins we wish we had found before it went into someone's pocket as a nice shiny dollar.  The fields appear to have been highly polished in the past because of the dark color.

 

This example shows the wear of the grade at the front of the nose with a lot of nicks and dings.  The deterioration of the eye is obvious and this one is pretty far along since the eyelash is also damaged.
