Comments:  This is only our sixth VAM 25 when acquired in November 2017.  The study of this specific coin led to a lot of conversation about VAMs 10, 21, and 25 and perhaps the combining of VAMs 21 and 25.

 

The coin is clearly worn and the grade seems about right.  We certainly would not argue for a higher grade.  There is certainly a little discoloration that earlier in the coin's life might have been considered toning.  But at this stage it is nothing more than moisture damage.
