Comments:  The bag marks on the cheek and accumulated marks on the face would have made this an MS 63 in our book, or at least toward the low end of the MS 64 grade.  We hate to run one of our own coins down, but we think the graders missed this one and we caught a break.

 

As of this acquisition we had nine example,s of VAM 33 in five different grades.  It seems to be available in both circulated and uncirculated grades.  The confusing identification on this coin is that it is clashed, but without letter transfer as in 33A and 33B.
