Comments:  We think this coin is low in the grade because of the excessive dirt on the surface.  Certainly we have nicer examples.  But the wear pattern is consistent with an AU 55 coin.

 

If there is a plus to the dirt it is that it makes the clashed "us" stand out a little more and therefore makes the VAM a little easier to identify.  The overall clashes are easy to see.
