Comments:  Looking objectively at this coin the most significant feature is the black mark on the cheek.  Unfortunately this is a major distraction from what is a very nice AU 55 coin.

 

The fields retain enough reflectivity to be attractive and the scaring on the face is minimal to light.  We have certainly seen more marks on mint state coins.

 

The reverse of the coin is no worse and we would place this coin in the upper end of the Au 55 grade or maybe the lower end of an AU 58.
