Comments:  This is a good example of an MS61 and how a coin starts to lose luster and eye appeal at this level.  There are lots of minor dings and abrasions, but nothing of significance.  It is the accumulation of abrasions that makes the grade.

On the VAM 26a the markers are all on the obverse, but that does not mean the recognition does not involve the reverse.  On this coin the reverse clash without letter transfer is obvious to the eye and points you back to the obverse.

The clash at the top of the right wing and below the left wing are clear.  The obverse clash at the neck is visible without any magnification.  But this is a "one and done" VAM and it is the hair clash above and below the eagle's head that is the giveaway.
