VAM:  18 - Doubled 18, Die Gouge DOL

Comments:  The obverse of this coin kills the grade.  The reverse is a much nicer coin that was obviously protected in its mint bag.  The fields on the obverse are nicer than the device, but with lots of small marks.

 

On the VAM 18 the most distinguishing characteristic is the long gouge through DOL on the reverse.  This one is very clear and when coupled with the date doubling produces VAM 18.
