Comments:  The camera confirms that this coin was probably struck in either a PL or DMPL state and was then just rubbed to death in the coin bag.  The devices seem to have a frosty appearance and if the fields were not so marked it would really stand out at a higher grade.  But the marks are there and it is probably slotted correctly at an MS 61.

 

VAM 8 is obviously one of the earlier discoveries and not complex.  It is distinguished by the tilted right mint mark and easily identified.
