Comments:  Like so many of our coins below MS grade you can pick out the former higher grade coins by the reflectivity captured by the camera.  If uncirculated this coin would command a lot more respect because of a lack of major damage and the retained reflectivity in the fields.

 

To us this is closer to an AU 58 than an AU 55, but it is definitely a circulated coin.
