Comments:  We would grade this coin up a notch or at least toward the top of the AU55 grade.  There is little flattening of the hair on the high spots and the eagle's breast feathers are just about full.  The coin has an unusual color that is uniform but not distinctive.

 

VAM 8 is easily identified because it lacks features other than the mint mark tilted right.  We have this VAM in more than a dozen different grades, so it is easily identified as the coin wears.
