VAM:  67 - Doubled 18 and Upper Reverse

Comments:  VAM 67 is one of our discovery VAMs and this is one of our best examples.  The name is interesting because it really separates it from others with the title double legend and motto.  There are a number of unique markers for the coin that are explained on the VAM page.  However, the 1 is doubled in a frequently seen manner, and the first 8 is doubled on the surface.

 

The coin is largely free of any significant bag marks and there is a little toning that gives the coin an even golden look.  We might have moved it up to a plus grade, but you need to overlook the discoloration to get there.
