VAM:  12 - O/O Lower Right

Comments:  This is a solid EF40 coin and we think compares favorably with several of our EF45 examples.  But the grade would be difficult to argue.

 

At the acquisition of this coin it was our second VAM 12 and the other is a Mint State 62, so some of these left the Mint and others remained for later distribution.

 

On VAM 12 the identification of the mint mark was possible because it remained somewhat free of dirt.
