Primary Characteristics
2B - O/O Low, Pitted NE-D
Identified in 2013 by John Coxe
This is a great coin for additional recognition features not mentioned in the primary description, and a good coin to understand how clashing presents itself.
Obverse Hub III2 Die 1
Normal Die but clashed at the neck and at the lips.
Reverse Hub C3 Die b
There are raised dots from die rust pitting at NE-D in ONE DOLLAR. Clashed with hair from Liberty's neck showing on the lower inside of the eagle's neck.
The usual neck clash is at the top of the eagle's right wing and outside the eagle's left wing. The right wing has been softened.
