9 - Doubled 18, Dot in O
Identified in 1975 by Jim Baxter
Obverse Hub III2 Die 4
The first 8 is slightly doubled at the top inside of the upper and lower loops, and strongly doubled at right outside of both loops. The first 1 is slightly doubled at the right side of the vertical shaft. The second 8 has an indentation at to left outside of the lower loop.
With VAM 9.2 there is a set of small die markers in front of the eye in a "teardrop" pattern.

Die 1 - There is a small raised die chip in the middle of the type II O mint mark opening, with a diagonal polishing line below it.
Some of the leaves in the right wreath, STATES OF, and tops of In God We Trust are slightly doubled towards the rim.

Die 2 - This is the same die as VAM-28 reverse Die 2.
Die Marker - Diagonal polishing line on the second inner feather from the bottom of the eagle's left wing.
